Y. -- A 35-year-old Spring Valley man is facing a driving while intoxicated charge after Rockland County sheriff's deputies stopped his car in Spring Valley, authorities said. Marvin Arana-Rosales was released after his arrest and is due back at a later date to Spring Valley Justice Court, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco said in a statement Friday. A sheriff's officer spotted the car he was driving on North Main Street, police said. The car was being driven erratically, police said.

Monroe Voters OK $1.7M For Masuk Field Upgrades MONROE, Conn. -- A plan to spend $1.7 million improving Masuk High School's main football field won the support of Monroe voters in Tuesday's referendum, according to the Monroe Courier. The plan to upgrade the field, add another track and other improvements drew support of voters by more than a 2-to-1 ratio, said the Monroe Courier. According to the Monroe Courier, 1,231 voters were in favor while 492 were not.
