BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- In a recent letter to Bridgeport officials, former Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi declares his firing was political, and he seeks up to $1 million from the city to settle any potential legal wrangling, according to ctpost.Through his lawyer, Nardozzi, who lost his $123,000-per-year job in January, is asking to remain on the city's payroll through the end of his contract, or that he get a $1 million settlement, the ctpost reports.
