Bridgeport Police Nab Murder Suspect In February Shooting Death
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 32-year-old Bridgeport man was held on $1 million bond on murder charges in connection with the Feb. 11 shooting death of a Bridgeport man after his arrest Friday by Bridgeport police and U.S. marshals, according to the CT Post.Authorities found Bernard Brandon, along with his girlfriend, hiding in the Bridgeport apartment of a disabled man, the CT Post reports.
Brandon, whose last known address was in Bridgeport, is facing murder and criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges, in the shooting death of Javoni Patton, the city's first homicide victim of 2016…
Two Charged With Cashing Forged Check In Dutchess
POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. -- Two Poughkeepsie residents are facing forgery charges after New York State Police say they cashed a check with a fake signature.
Apolonio Martinez, 24, is charged with second-degree forgery, a felony, while Patricia Aragon Cruz, 33, is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, also a felony, police said.
After being arraigned in Pleasant Valley Town Court, Aragon Cruz is being held on $10,000 bond. Martinez was arraigned in LaGrange Town Court and released, police said.
