Y. -- More than 450 people gathered in the Hynes Center at Iona College in New Rochelle for an all-night Relay for Life event April 9 that brought in more than $55,000 for the American Cancer Society.Iona students walked from 6 p.m.-4 a.m. to show that cancer never sleeps, organizers said. They also participated in events and games, along with a more somber luminaria event -- all to raise money to fight cancer. J. -- Not only are motorists feeling the pinch from the Orangeburg Road bridge construction project, walkers and cyclists will notice it, too, according to lohud.com. The $14-million bridge project, which started in March, is closing two lanes on Orangeburg Road and also closing a portion of the walking and cycling trail underneath the bridge. Y. -- The works of 17 Westchester photographers are on display in New Rochelle in a new exhibit called "A Photographic Journey From Here And Beyond."The Lazarus Gallery at United Hebrew of New Rochelle is inviting viewers to experience journey through 37 photographs from all over the world.
