Shelton Man Charged In Bridgeport Heroin Death
SHELTON, Conn. -- A Shelton man, who police connected to a heroin death in Bridgeport, is one of six men facing federal drug charges after a statewide crackdown on people who provide opioids and other drugs, according to the CT Post.
A criminal complaint charges Jorge Morales, 29, of Shelton, in an April 15 incident in which a 21-year-old Bridgeport woman was found unresponsive in her apartment, the CT Post reports. She later died, and police recovered heroin at her apartment that they connected to the Shelton man, the CT post says.

Two Rockland County Men Charged With Drug Possession
CLARKSTOWN, N. Y. -- Two Rockland County men are facing drug possession charges after New York State Police stopped their car on the New York State Thruway in Clarkstown and found mushrooms laced with the hallucinogenic drug psilocybin, police said.
Brian Daly, 38, of Suffern, and Michael Toomey, 46, of Congers, are both charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Daly was also charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, police said.

White Plains YMCA Celebrates 25th Annual Healthy Kids Day
WHITE PLAINS, N. Y. -- Free physical activities hosted by teens are featured for the daylong celebration Saturday, April 30, in White Plaines for the 25th annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day.Since its inception, the goal of the free program has been to encourage young people to focus on active lifestyles, even in the summer, YMCA officials said.
To that end, the White Plains YMCA, 250 Mamaroneck Ave., will have dance, soccer, basketball, wallyball, swimming and a dance party hosted by teen leaders. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for the April 30 event.
