Tax Cut, Outside Ambulances Included In Arlington Fire District Proposal POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Arlington Fire District has proposed to cut taxes slightly in next year's budget as it absorbs state imposed increases it cannot control, according to Fire Commissioner Jim Beretta, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports. The reductions stem from a new agreed upon contract between the district and the Arlington Professional Firefighters Association, said the report. Actor From Westport Dies In Fall From NYC Apartment Building WESTPORT, Conn. -- A Staples High School graduate, 25-year-old Noah Witke, died Sunday morning after he fell from the roof of his Harlem apartment building, the New York Daily News reported.Witke was a 2009 graduate of Staples and Staples Players actor, according to the Westport News. National Guardsman Charged In Teen Sex Assault DANBURY, Conn. -- A National Guardsman has been charged in the sexual assault of a teen girl, 14, he is alleged to have picked up at the Danbury Fair mall, according to the Connecticut Post.
