Come Meet Alpacas In Pleasant Valley PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. -- Visitors to Lilymoore Farms on Saturday are in for a treat. There will be a public open house to experience alpacas, horses and chickens close-up and learn all about them. The day will also feature an array of vendors to shop for holiday items. Hiking trails on the 40-acre farm will be open, and activities will include making a scarecrow and a kids craft table. The event is from noon-4 p.m. at the farm, 21 Moore Road, Pleasant Valley. Road Closures Top Briarcliff Village Manager's Report BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Manor Village Manager Philip Zegarelli says the ancient sanitation sewer lines are about to be replaced, so expect road closures during construction in his weekly report. Residents are advised to be aware of the following road closure from Wednesday, Nov. 9, to Friday, Nov. 18. New York Joins Compact To Ensure Popular Vote Determines Presidency Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has signed legislation that secure's New York's place on the list of states that have joined National Popular Vote Compact, according to an announcement. It guarantees that "every vote in every state will matter in every presidential election," the release said. The bill modifies legislation signed by Cuomo in 2014, which added New York to an interstate agreement in which member states commit to award their electoral votes for president to the candidate that receives a majority of the national popular vote. Norwalk Detectives Ask Public's Help Finding Burglary Suspect NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating a burglary suspect, according to police.Edwin Sanchez, 30, is wanted by the Norwalk Police Department, which holds an active warrant for burglary and larceny, police said.
