Nearly 40 Employers To Participate In Passaic County Job Fair
WAYNE, N. J. -- Thirty-six businesses and organizations are planning to participate in the diversified career job fair Thursday at William Paterson University's Continuing Education Center in Wayne.Job seekers are encouraged to bring at least 30 copies of a current resume, and wear professional attire. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 14 in the center, 1600 Valley Road, Wayne.
A snow date is planned Jan. 15.

MILLBROOK, N. Y. -- Local experts on a variety of family and parenting topics are participating in a series of sessions that make up Family University on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Millbrook Middle School.Two 40-minute sessions are scheduled, starting at 7 p.m. at the middle school, 4228 Chapman Road. Dorothy R. Dore, 84, Longtime Hopewell Junction Teacher
HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N. Y. -- Dorothy R. Dore, Hopewell Junction resisdent and retired teacher so well known for greeting students each morning that the entrance to her former school was named for her, died Jan. 7. She was 84.Dore, formerly of Woodhaven, taught for 39 years at Van Wyck Junior High School in Wappingers Falls. After her retirement last June, the entrance was renamed "The Dore Greeting Center."

Five Byram Hills HS Science Students Named Intel Semifinalists
ARMONK, N. Y. -- Five Byram Hills High School science students are semifinalists in the national Intel Science Talent Search competition.They were named Wednesday, and are among 300 high school seniors nationwide selected as semifinalists from a field of 1,750. The semifinalist designation means they each earn a $1,000 scholarship, and a $1,000 for each student goes to Byram Hills High School, officials said.
