Man Accused Of Threatening New Rochelle Police With BB Gun
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- A young man is facing a criminal menacing charge after New Rochelle police say he caused a dramatic scene Sunday near Iona College by threatening police with a BB gun, according to a News 12 report. Last Steel Beam From World Trade Center Finds Home In Beacon
BEACON, N. Y. -- Beacon resident Stacy Dedring, who helped distribute food to firefighters after the World Trade Center was attacked on 9/11, said she's glad to have a piece of steel in serve as a reminder of the terrorist attacks, according to Time Warner Cable News. Bronx River Parkway Lane Closures Start Monday
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Motorists using the Bronx River Parkway are likely to notice a little more congestion starting Monday around Yonkers.Westchester County officials are notifying drivers that one southbound lane will be closed on the parkway weekdays between Palmer Road and Desmond Avenue in Yonkers. The closure will go from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. from May 2-23, officials said. It is necessary for bridge joint replacement work by the state Department of Transportation, officials said. Driver Injured When Car Crashes Into Tree In Suffern
SUFFERN, N. Y. -- A driver had to be extricated from a one-car crash Friday with a tree after losing control of the car on Spook Rock Road near the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, police said.Town of Ramapo police said the driver, who was the only one in the car, couldn't make the turn in the roadway, causing the car to hit a tree and flip over. The driver was taken by Ramapo Valley Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern for a minor hand injury, police said.

Woman Faces Prison For Threats To Stratford, Danbury Schools
A judge earlier this month sentenced a 20-year-old Torrington woman to seven years in prison plus 20 years of parole following a plea deal stemming from 2014 threats against high schools in Danbury and Stratford, according to WLAD-AM.Natalie Carpenter, who was 18 at the time, was overheard making violent threats against the schools.
