Stamford Man, 60, Disputes Cruelty Charge In Dog's Demise STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 60-year-old Stamford man is fighting animal cruelty charges after police said his dog was found in such terrible condition it had to be euthanized, according to the Stamford Advocate. Robert Armstrong, who is free after posting $45,000 bond, said he would never be cruel to a dog, the Advocate said. Westport Woman Charged With Impaired Driving In 2015 Crash WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 31-year-old Westport woman is facing impaired driving charges after police got results of a toxicology report from her September 2015 one-car crash with a parked car along Riverside Avenue in Westport, police said.Jennifer Edvardsen was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving with a suspended license, police said. Fairfield Police Launch New GoFundMe Page For K-9 Unit FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Saying the value of police dogs can't be measured, Fairfield police launched a new GoFundMe page to raise money to help support their two new dogs.Jagger and Maverick just completed training and they are out and about with their officers, police said.
