Y. -- Two people are facing forgery-related charges after Beacon police say they tried to use counterfeit money at Beacon businesses, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal reports.Beacon officers arrested Shatika Gorhan, 23, and Craig Roberts, 32, at about 8:43 p.m. Friday on Main Street, and found both in possession of counterfeit money, police said. Y. -- A 38-year-old Bardonia man is facing criminal charges after Suffern police stopped his car on Clinton Place in Suffern and later found prescription drugs, police said.The man was charged with driving with a suspended registration and possession of a controlled substance, police said. He was released pending a future court date, police said. Officer Andrew Yorke stopped the car after being alerted to the suspended license by a license plate reader, police said. Police saw a clear bag in the car, then found more prescription pills with the help of the K-9 unit, police said.
