Shelton Man Charged In Tire-Slashing Case In Milford
SHELTON, Conn. -- A 28-year-old Shelton man is facing a criminal mischief charge after Milford police connected him to a tire-slashing incident in May on a car on Janet Street in Milford, according to the Connecticut Post.Mario Bacchiocchi, of Birdseye Road in Shelton, was released pending an Aug. 2 appearance in Superior Court, the Connecticut Post says. NYACK, N. Y. -- A 23-year-old Nyack man is facing a felony charge for possessing stolen property after a Orangetown police connected him to thefts from parked cars in Nyack, then reportedly found him with a stolen Visa credit card, police said. Stratford Officials Investigate 2 Suspicious Fires At Vacant House
STRATFORD, Conn. -- Authorities are investigating two intentional fires that occurred within a 24-hour period this week at a vacant multi-family house in Stratford, the Stratford Star reports. Officials told the Stratford Star that both fires appeared to have been set on the outside of the building, and no injuries were reported. A 911 call at about 2 p.m. Wednesday alerted firefighters to the first fire at the building at 28-30 Riverview Place, the Stratford Star says. The second fire was reported at about 2 a.m. Thursday. Police Search For Bank Robbery Suspect At Chase In Downtown White Plains
WHITE PLAINS, N. Y. -- City police are searching for a man who reportedly took $150 from a Chase bank branch in White Plains on Wednesday afternoon after handing a note to the teller, according to multiple reports.There were no weapons involved and no injuries reported. Spring Valley Man Wanted For Theft Found In Nyack
NYACK, N. Y. -- A 21-year-old Spring Valley man is facing a false impersonation charge, in addition to outstanding larcency charges, after Orangetown police say he gave them a false identity when officers recognized him while investigating another matter in Nyack, police said. Motorcyclist Dies After Ossining Crash
OSSINING, N. Y. -- Police are investigating an accident Sunday night between a motorcycle and a car on Route 9 in Ossining that resulted in the death of the unidentified motorcyclist, lohud.com reports. The motorcycle crashed into the Toyota Avalon at around 7 p.m. Sunday near the entrance of Highland Terrace. The cyclist was taken to Westchester Medical Center.
