Metro-North Tests New Security Cameras On Trains Security cameras are now being tested on some Metro-North trains on the Harlem and Hudson lines as part of a nearly $18 million plan to ultimately outfit all trains with cameras, according to lohud.com. Cameras are being used in the passenger areas as well as the engineer's control area. They were recommended by the National Transportation Safety Board in response to the 2013 fatal train derailment in the Bronx, lohud.com says.
