Norwalk Man Charged With Trying To Take Leaf Blower NORWALK, CONN. -- A 45-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on charges of trying to steal a leaf blower out a garge, according to The Hour.Police told the Hour that the victim identified Paul Kurensky, of 21 Edgewood St., as the man who was in his garage uninvited and holding his leaf blower.  Kurensky was charged with third-degree burglary, and released on $5,000 bond for an Oct. 27 court date, The Hour said. He was 91.Born Oct. 5, 1924, in Lyndhurst, N.J., to the late Andrew and Theresa Mazzara, he graduated magna cum laude from St. Francis Xavier High School in New York City in 1941. He was a cadet company commander in the Xavier Regiment.  He also attended Cornell University before being accepted and studying for his medical degree at Georgetown University Medical School. Norwalk Recognizes Four Officers For Dramatic Boat Rescue NORWALK, Conn. -- Four Norwalk police officers are being honored for their role in rescuing a group of 11 people Sept. 26 from a sinking boat near Shea Island. Norwalk Police Commission officials recently named Officer Russ Ouellette, Officer Mark Suda, Officer Vidal Gonez and Officer Rich Dellalo as the September Officers of the Month. The Sept. 26 incident started as a report at 8:09 p.m. of a boat taking on water.
