James Richard Mazzara, 91, Of Hackensack
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Dr. James Richard Mazzara, a longtime surgeon and Hackensack resident, died Oct. 15. He was 91.Born Oct. 5, 1924, in Lyndhurst, N.J., to the late Andrew and Theresa Mazzara, he graduated magna cum laude from St. Francis Xavier High School in New York City in 1941. He was a cadet company commander in the Xavier Regiment.
He also attended Cornell University before being accepted and studying for his medical degree at Georgetown University Medical School. He was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N. J. -- Gloria Matarrese, New York native and former Hasbrouck Heights resident, died Oct. 18. She was 91.Born in Brooklyn N. Y. to the late Joseph and Concetta Venezia, Matarrese most recently lived in Lanoka Harbor.
She was predeceased by her husband, the late Pasquale J. Matarrese. She was the mother of Richard Matarrese and his companion Sheri Smith, and the late Joseph, Patrick and Frank. She's also survived by her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Suzanne Schneider, 59, Elmwood Park Resident
ELMWOOD PARK, N. J. -- Suzanne Schneider, a lifelong Elmwood Park resident, died Monday, Oct. 12. She was 59.She was born in the Bronx, to Gerhard and Margaret (Baldwin) Schneider.
She is survived by her son Nicholas Fico, and siblings Bobby Schneider, Jimmy Schneider, Tommy Schneider, Peggy Schneider, Kathy Schneider, Marian Sall and Jeanne Fanale.
She was predeceased by sisters Patti Dreher and Ginger Morano.

Richard B. Campbell, 81, Of Rye Brook
RYE BROOK, N. Y. -- Richard B. Campbell, longtime Rye Brook resident, died Oct. 20. He was 81.A graduate of Fordham University and New York University, he was a captain in the U.S. Army and an active parishioner and former parish council president of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich, Conn. He also was a passionate New York sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, four children, three daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren. He's also survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, and four nieces and nephews.
