Playland Ice Arena Abuzz As Area Hockey Powers Meet In Thriller RYE, N.Y. - The Playland Ice Arena was buzzing with excitement Wednesday night, as the Suffern and Rye High School ice hockey teams, two of the best in the Hudson Valley, got together to mix it up. In the end, it was the Mounties who walked off with a 3-2 victory - scoring all three goals in the third period - giving their fans plenty to cheer about. Rye (4-4) scored twice in the first, and led 2-0 entering the third period. Suffern improved to 7-1 with the win.
