However, there was the Snowflake Showdown at Mahopac High School, a competition that featured cheer squads from 24 area schools from Putnam, Westchester and Dutchess counties. Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday afternoon at the First Congregational Church of Stratford. The Rev. Simeon Law, pastor of Stratford United Methodist Church, gave the sermon. Fox Lane pulled away for a 7-1 win. Both teams have been experiencing their struggles this winter, but in this one, it was the Foxes who got rolling early and earned the win. Stamford Celebrates Groundbreaking Of Magnet School At Strawberry Hill Site STAMFORD, Conn. - Stamford Mayor David Martin celebrated the beginning of construction on an inter-district magnet school at a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning. The school will be located in a three-story building on Strawberry Hill Ave. that was most recently rented and used by the Stanwich School of Greenwich for its upper grades. Before the building was occupied by Stanwich, it served as the longtime home of Sacred Heart Academy. Other buildings on the property include the C.J.
