Putnam Comes Out To Play In Snow After Storm Blankets Area CARMEL, N.Y. - The Nor'easter that slammed most of the Hudson Valley left a blanket of snow on Putnam County Saturday, and area residents were out making the best of it Sunday, on a beautiful, sunny, winter, afternoon. Fahnestock Winter Park on Rt. 301 in Carmel was buzzing with activity, with cross-country skiers finding lots of open trails, and adults and kids enjoying sledding and tubing.

Ketcham EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. - Two old rivals got together for a Thursday night boys basketball clash, as John Jay hosted the Indians of Roy C Ketcham in East Fishkill. RCK ended up victorious in a close one, claiming a 57-51 triumph. Zaahir Woody led RCK with 19 points. Tim Reilly had 17. Ray Kupetz paced the Patriot attack with 20 points, and Ryan Schumacher added 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Lifelong fencer and nine-time national champion Michelle Verhave, of Croton Falls, and Lasha Sopromadze are co-coaches and owners of the Center, which is in its second year at the Ice Arena, and its fourth year overall in Brewster.
