Actor Alex Wolf Discusses New Movie At The Picture House In Pelham
PELHAM, N.Y. -- An advance screening of the new movie, "Coming Through the Rye," and conversation with actor Alex Wolff is set for Thursday, Oct. 13 at The Picture House Regional Film Center in Pelham.The actor will be on-hand for a discussion and Q&A with the Emmy Award-winning filmmaker James Sadwith after the film.
Marshall Fine, the Picture House critic-in-residence, will moderate the discussion. The movie opens nationwide Friday, Oct. 14.

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Members of the Ramapo Police Department are mourning the loss of retired detective, Sgt. Duane Whitaker, who died Tuesday, according to police.Known to many as "Hawk" or "Whit", Whitaker served in the Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, and Director of the Police Academy at various points in his career, which spanned from 1960 to 1988.
He was well known in police circles throughout New York State for his role in police officer recruit training.
