Wilton Historical Society Offers Chocolate-Making Workshop For Kids
WILTON, Conn. -- A popular chocolate-making workshop for kids is returning to the Wilton Historical Society on Saturday, Feb. 11 in time for Valentine's Day.
In the program from 11 a.m. to noon participants will pour chocolate in charming molds of hearts, flowers, animals, stars, tools, among shapes, then decorate boxes for the treats.
Registration is required by email to info@wiltonhistorical.org or call (203) 762-7257. The costs are: Members, $10 or $25 per family; non-members, $15; $35 per family. Parents are welcome to stay.

New Canaan Panel To Give Resilience Tips In World Of 'Booze, Bongs, Benzos'
NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Experts will teach kids and parents how to build resilience in "a world of booze, bongs, and benzos" Wednesday, Feb. 8 at New Canaan Town Hall.
Families will learn ways to prevent teen drinking and use/abuse of drugs, including ADHD medications and mixing prescription benzodiazepines like Xanax and Valium.
Resilience is one of the strongest tools against depression, abuse, and addiction, according to the experts.

Greenwich United Way Prepares To Make $1 Million In Grants
GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich United Way will donate more than $1 million this year to local organizations that best meet critical human service needs.
At its annual meeting, United Way staff, board member and the volunteers of a Community Investment Process, which reviewed grant applications, finalized the process of allocating the agency's funding for the 2016 fiscal year.
