New Canaan Police Save Heroin Overdose Victim NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan police recently saved someone from a heroin overdose, according to police. Officers responded to an unspecified location to a report of an unconscious victim, said police. Police arrived at the scene in less than two minutes and quickly determined the person had recently used heroin. Officers administered Naloxone, also called Narcan, an antidote that reverses an opioid overdose, and began other lifesaving measures, according to police.
