New Fairfield, Sherman Entries Sought In Recycling Billboard Contest DANBURY, Conn. -- Students Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Redding, Ridgefield and Sherman may submit entries to the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority art contests. Winners of the contest which aims to encourage people to recycle will have their artwork displayed on a HRRA billboard for a month. The entry deadline is Feb. 24. NYC Doorman From Bridgeport Dies In Tragic Shoveling Accident BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man died Thursday morning in a tragic shoveling accident on Manhattan's Upper East Side, according to multiple media reports. Miguel Gonzalez, 59, a longtime doorman at an apartment building on East 93rd Street near 1st Avenue, slipped and fell down a short flight of stairs while shoveling, police told the New York Post.
