Y. -- Authorities are searching for a man who led Croton police on a wild pursuit Wednesday night before purposely crashing his car, then taking off on foot, according to a report from News 12.It all started about 8:30 p.m. when Croton police tried to pull over an SUV for a routine traffic stop along Route 9 (Albany Post Road) in Buchanan. Y. -- Mount Pleasant Central School District officials are congratulating Westlake High School senior Will Sweeny on being named a finalist in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.On a Facebook post, school officials said Sweeny is to compete with 15,000 other finalists nationwide for 2,500 Merit scholarship awards, as well as other corporate and university scholarships.
