WHITE PLAINS, N. Y. -- The White Plains Common Council is poised to start a series of meetings to discuss the city's proposed $165.9 million budget that includes an increase of about $3 million next year, The Examiner News reports.Proposed spending for the combined budget for the city, library, water, sewer and other funds increased about $4.6 million, or up to $183.8 million total. Yorktown Resident Charged With Driving With Suspended License
YORKTOWN, N. Y. -- A 25-year-old Yorktown man is facing charges after Yorktown police stopped his car Tuesday, March 29, and discovered his license was suspended, police said.Scott V. Baia, of Barberry Road in Yorktown, is charged with misdemeanor third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, along with the traffic infraction of not displaying a front license plate, police said.
He was released and due back at 6 p.m., April 28, in Yorktown Justice Court for arraignment, police said.
