RED HOOK, N. Y. -- A 19-year-old Long Island woman is facing traffic charges following a two-car accident at the intersection of 9G and West Kerley Corners roads on Saturday, April 2, in Red Hook that left the woman's passenger with injuries, police said.
Red Hook police said Cornelia Channing, 19, of Long Island, was traveling west from West Kerley Corners Road to Broadway when her 2010 Audi hit a 2011 Volkswagen driven by a 51-year-old Rhineback man. Mahopac Woman Charged With DWI Following Traffic Stop
MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- A 37-year-old Mahopac woman is facing an aggravated DWI charge following a traffic stop last week by Putnam County sheriff's police along Route 6N in Mahopac, police said.
Jennifer Rist, 37, of Boniello Drive, Mahopac, is charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was released on an appearance ticket pending a Monday, April 18, court date in Carmel Justice Court, police said.
Police stopped her car about 1:15 a.m. March 24 for traffic violations, police said. The driver failed several field sobriety tests, police said.

SHELTON, Conn. -- Four area men face charges after the state's Environmental Conservation Police found them during a Tuesday fishing trip at the Housatonic River in Shelton with 38 striped bass that not only exceeded the limit but were smaller than the legal size, police said.Hydri Cenkoli, 60, of Woodbury; Daniel Cenkoli, 32, of Waterbury; Bilbil Cenkoli, 57, of Waterbury; and Gurali Cenkoli, 46, of Woodbury, are all charged with possession of more than the daily limit and possession of striped bass that are smaller than the legal length.
