Former Employee Charged With Stealing Beer From Westport Stop & Shop WESTPORT, CONN. -- A 30-year-old Bridgeport man is facing a larceny charge after Westport police said the former Westport Stop & Shop employee took four 12-packs of beer without paying.Rolando Morales was arrested Monday on a sixth-degree larceny arrest warrant for the April 21 incident, police said. He was released on bond and due back in court June 16, police said. Police were called to the Westport Stop & Shop on April 21 on a report of a man taking beer then fleeing in his car, police said. Store surveillance video appears to have captured the incident, police said.

Poughkeepsie Man Charged With Possession Of Crack LLOYD, N. Y. -- A 43-year-old Poughkeepsie man is facing a drug charge after police found him with crack cocaine during an investigation of a domestic dispute between him and a female friend while they were in a car on State Route 44/55 in Lloyd, New York State Police said. Yonkers School Officials Testing For Lead In Water At Schools YONKERS, N. Y. -- While Yonkers school officials aren't finished with water and fixture testing in all of the district's 39 school buildings, they have started closing down unsafe fixtures and letting the public know results of testing thus far, according to lohud.com.Letters have gone out to parents in 20 of the 39 schools to either say the water tested at safe levels or unsafe levels were found and fixtures were shut off, reported lohud.com. Stamford Police Investigate Shooting Incident Caught On Tape STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are investigating a surveillance tape that appears to show a man firing gunshots at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Corbo Terrace, according to the Stamford Advocate.The shots were fired shortly after a woman's screams could be heard, the Stamford Advocate said. Police Recover Stolen Greenwich Car Used In Escape To Stamford GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich police recovered a car that officials say was used by a 20-year-old Stamford man to escape police trying to connect him to a May 30 drive-by shooting in Stamford, the Greenwich Time reports.
