Ten Men Facing Charges After Prostitution Sting In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. -- Ten Connecticut and New York men are facing criminal charges of patronizing a prostitute following a weekend crackdown on prostitution at local hotels by Bridgeport and Stratford police, the Connecticut Post reported. The crackdown came about because of complaints about human trafficking and prostitution at local hotels, police told the Connecticut Post. Yonkers Police Investigate Shooting That Injured 1 On Riverdale Ave. YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers police are investigating a Sunday night shooting near 80 Riverdale Ave. that left a man with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to News 12. The man was standing on the sidewalk when he was shot in the calf. He went to a nearby apartment building at 80 Riverdale Ave. for help, News 12 is reporting. White Plains Sex Offender Faces New Charges In Greenwich GREENWICH, CONN. -- A 68-year-old White Plains, N. Man Accused Of Passing Forged Check To Open Bank Account In Orangeburg ORANGETOWN, N. Y. -- A 23-year-old Spring Valley man is facing criminal charges after police connected him to a $206 forged check used to open a bank account at an Orangeburg bank, police said. Brayan Mendez-Vasquez was arraigned on second-degree felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property, police said.He's due back July 12 at Orangetown Justice Court, police said.
