Police said they got the call about 8 p.m. Sunday about a man drinking alcohol in public. When officers arrived, they saw him with an open can of beer in a parking lot on Lee Boulevard in Yorktown, police said.

Clarkstown police, who are still investigating the crash, announced Thursday that Bohdan Starostiak died from his injuries. The accident, which tied up traffic Tuesday afternoon, happened when Starostiak's car crossed Route 303 near Lakewood and was hit by a box truck, lohud.com says.
