Y. -- Hear about the real Spain from Spanish author José Ovejero, who will talk about Spanish fiction at a Thursday program at The College of New Rochelle (CNR).Ovejero, who will spend some time mentoring students during his visit, said the Spain depicted to the world is very different from reality. The program, planned for 7 p.m.. He was 69.A pediatric nephrologist, Kennedy served as chair of pediatrics at Bridgeport Hospital for 21 years. He earned two teaching awards at Bridgeport, as well as two others from the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he worked from 1979-88.  He was a clinical professor of pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine from 1994-2009, and also served as acting chief of pediatric nephrology at Yale for three years.  Born March 2, 1946, in Allentown, Pa., to the late T…

She was 93.She was predeceased by her husband Pietro Ricci, who died in 1989, and daughter Tina Gurrieri, who died in 2003. She is survived by children Sal and Anna Ricci of Franklin Lakes, Tony and Eileen Ricci of New Brunswick, Anna and Arturo Bartalotta of Waldwick. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Stratford's Square One Theatre Finds New Home STRATFORD, Conn. -- The show goes on for the 26-year-old Square One Theatre Company, which is gearing up for a Nov. 5 opening in its new location at Stratford Academy's Johnson House.The new location means the company can stay in Stratford, which is what officials wanted, by housing it in the arts magnet school at 719 Birdseye St. Tom Holehan, artistic director, and Richard Pheneger, general manager, said it is just a mile from the theater's former location on Main Street.
