Westchester County Closes Pedestrian Bridge Over Hutch For Repairs WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N. Y. -- Westchester County parks officials closed an aging pedestrian bridge over the Huchinson River near Pelham for repairs, according to lohud.com.The bridge off First Avenue, which allows walkers to cross the river to a path leading to Willson's Woods Park, is expected to be reopened in early 2016, lohud.com said. Y. -- A head-on collision Saturday morning between a car and a dump truck along Route 44 in Washington claimed the life of the car's driver and injured two young children who were passengers.Dutchess County Sheriff's officials, who are investigating, said it appears the car, which was traveling south, crossed into the truck's lane along Route 44 at Bontecou Road at around 9 a.m.  The two children were flown to Westchester Medical Center.
