Woman Attempted To Steal Car From Gas Station: Denville PD A 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged after she attempted to steal vehicle from a gas station, authorities announced Tuesday, Aug. 12. On Sunday, Aug. 10, officers responded to the Shell Gas Station at 279 E. Main Street after Johanna Posada-Ramirez, who has no fixed residence, burglarized a vehicle and attempted to steal it, Denville police said. Posada-Ramirez was fleeing the area when officers arrived, but she was located at the Denville Train Station, police said. She is charged with criminal attempt to steal a motor vehicle and burglary, police said.

Pedestrian Killed After Hit By Car: Lacey Twp PD A 47-year-old Waretown resident was killed after she was struck by a car in Lacey Township on Monday, Aug. 11, authorities said. At 10:24 p.m., officers responded to Route 9 and Taylor Lane after a red 2022 Toyota Tundra driven by a 61-year-old Forked River man drove through the intersection and  struck Alycia Mullin, who was crossing Route 9, Lacey Township police said. Rumson Boater Pulled From Shrewsbury River Dies: Njsp A 63-year-old Rumson man died after he was pulled from the water  in Monmouth County on Saturday, Aug. 10, authorities said. At 10:43 p.m., troopers responded to a vessel incident on the Shrewsbury River in Sea Bright Boro, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Millville Man Struck By Volkswagen On Route 553: Njsp A 58-year-old Millville man was seriously injured after he was struck by a Volkswagen on Route 553 in Cumberland County on Sunday, Aug. 10, authorities said At 10:31 a.m., the man entered the roadway on Route 553 South in Fairfield Township and was struck by a Volkswagen passenger vehicle, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The Millville resident sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said. The driver sustained minor injuries, Lebron said.  The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
