Pickup Truck Transporting Horses Involved In 2-Vehicle Crash: Raritan Twp Police A pickup truck pulling a 26-foot horse trailer was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Raritan Township on Tuesday, Aug. 12, authorities said. Salem Scooter Rider Critical After Struck By Millville DWI Driver: Bridgeton PD A 57-year-old Salem resident is in critical condition after they were struck by a drunk driver in Bridgeton on Monday, Aug. 11, authorities said. At 8:39 p.m., officers responded to Route 49 and S. East Avenue after a vehicle operated by Emanuel Perez-Garcia, a 32-year-old Millville resident, struck the person on a motorized scooter, Bridgeton police said. Drowning Prompts Jersey Shore Town To Close Beach When Lifeguards Leave Following a drowning on Monday, Aug. 11, Seaside Heights Mayor Anthony Vaz announced the borough will be ordering people out of the water when lifeguards leave. The water will be blocked off using gates between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., Vaz said, when lifeguards leave for the day, though exceptions will be made for surfers and fishermen. NJ Motorcyclist Killed In Crash 9 Days Before 21st Birthday Michael Anthony Fisher, Jr., a Bordentown resident, died on Wednesday, Aug. 6, nine days before his 21st birthday on Aug. 15, after he was hit by someone making an illegal turn while he was riding his motorcycle home, his family said.
