Woman Struck, Killed After Walking Onto Capital Region Freeway A woman was killed when she walked onto a freeway in the region and was struck by several cars during the morning commute. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 7:40 a.m. Monday, July 10, on I-87 in the town of Malta, according to New York State Police. Troopers said the woman parked her car on the shoulder before getting out and walking into the southbound lanes, where she was hit by multiple cars. ID Released For Customer Shot To Death Outside Capital Region Store Authorities have identified a man who was shot to death during a fight outside a store in the region. The shooting happened at around 5:20 p.m. Sunday, July 2, in Troy, at the Family Dollar store located near 102nd Street and 2nd Avenue. According to Troy Police, two customers got into an altercation in front of the store when one of them opened fire.
