Wannabe Bank Robber Leaves Long Island Branch Empty Handed Police are seeking tips following an attempted bank robbery on Long Island. The incident happened Wednesday, July 5, in North Babylon, at the Bethpage Federal Credit Union on Deer Park Avenue. A man walked into the branch at around 9:30 a.m. and passed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Suffolk County Police. He then fled the bank on foot without any money. Police Dog Stabbed 12 Times, Officer Injured During Burglary Arrest In Capital Region A police dog is hospitalized with multiple stab wounds and an officer is injured following a suspected burglary arrest in the region. Family Fight Ends With Man Stabbed In Capital Region, Police Say A man is recovering after he was stabbed during a family altercation in the region. In Columbia County, police in the city of Hudson were called at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, June 2, with reports of a large fight near North 5th street and Long Alley.
