Clarkstown South Softball Team Hits Road To Face Tough John Jay Team EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. - The Clarkstown South High softball team traveled to take on John Jay Saturday in a game that was played in East Fishkill. South, which won the section last season, lost a good part of its lineup, and in this one it was a hard-hitting John Jay team that cruised to a 15-0 victory. Ally Muller struck out 13 and earned the win for the Patriots, now 6-0. Sara Ferrara took the loss for South, which fell to 2-5.

John Jay came out of this one with a 9-6 victory, with Jay's Ryan Bryggman earning the win on the mound. Alex Rajovic drove in three and Matt Hegarty homered for John Jay, which improved to 3-2. Bobby O'Leary took the loss for Somers, which got two RBI from Trujillo.

Somers Girls Lacrosse Teams Scores 21 Goals In Victory BREWSTER, N.Y. - The Brewster High girls lacrosse team traveled to take on Somers in a game played Wednesday at Somers High School. Both teams came into the contest undefeated, but in this one it was the homestanding Tuskers who rolled to a 21-12 victory. Livy Rosenzweig led Somers with five goals and four assists, and Gabby Rosenzweig added four goals and four assists. Brewster was led by Lauren Craft and Taylor Doria, each with four goals. The win lifted Somers to 6-0, while Brewster fell to 4-1.

Second-Half Rally Lifts Yorktown Past Lacrosse Archrival John Jay CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Perhaps the premier boys lacrosse rivalry in the Hudson Valley added another chapter Thursday, as perennial Section 1 champion Yorktown paid a visit to John Jay of Cross River. The defending champion Cornhuskers ended up taking a close decision, 9-7, with Kyle Casey providing four goals for Yorktown. Justin Cavallo had a hat trick and dished out three assists for Yorktown, which improved to 5-2. Yorktown overcame a 5-1 halftime deficit to pull out the win. John Jay fell to 4-2 with the loss.
