Rye High Girls Lacrosse Team Hungry For More Success This Spring RYE, N.Y. -- The Rye High girls lacrosse team posted a 12-4-1 record last spring, advancing to the Section 1 Class B semifinal, where the Garnets lost to eventual sectional champion Somers (which reached the state championship game). Seventh-year coach Dennie Hurlie believes the team has the pieces necessary to repeat as league champions, and said the team is hungry to compete for a sectional title. Irvington Girls Lacrosse Take Takes On Powerful Bronxville IRVINGTON, N.Y. - The Bronxville High girls lacrosse team hit the road Thursday to take on Irvington in a game played at Dows Lane Elementary School. Bronxville's Broncos ended up handing the Bulldogs their first loss of the young season, 19-3. Bronxville, which improved its record to 3-1, got five goals from Lilly Grass, Allie Berkery had a hat-trick and three assists and Olivia Jensen had two goals and three assists. Irvington (3-1) got two goals from Mallory Toolan, and Mia Mascone had a goal.
