Drosopoulos Making Mark As Director Of Athletics At Briarcliff High School BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. - Daily Voice spoke recently with Briarcliff High's Chris Drosopoulos as part of our continuing spotlight series on area athletic directors. Drosopoulos, in his 17th year at Briarcliff, attended high school at Sacred Heart in Yonkers, where he played basketball. Her went on to attend Manhattanville College, where he competed in basketball and lacrosse. Prior to coming to Briarcliff, Drosopoulos spent three years teaching social studies at the Salk School of Science in Manhattan.

Rockland Residents Hit Links On Sunny Mother's Day Afternoon SUFFERN, N.Y. - Rockland County residents enjoyed a slightly windy, but otherwise beautiful, Mother's Day Sunday afternoon enjoying a variety of activities. Daily Voice stopped by the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, and found lots of golfers enjoying the links and the great weather. The forecast for Rockland was partly cloudy skies with temps in the high 60s for Monday and Tuesday, with more sun and temps in the 70s in the outlook for Wednesday and Thursday.

Dutchess Residents Flock To Mother's Day Cupcake Festival FISHKILL, N.Y. - Dutchess County residents flocked to the annual K104.7 Cupcake Festival Sunday in the Village of Fishkill on a windy, but beautiful, Mother's Day afternoon. The festival included 'Cupcake Wars Finals,' - with K104 and Billy Joe's Ribworks crowning a winner and a $1,000.00 dollar prize. The main attraction was cupcakes, but there were also food vendors from around the Hudson Valley, as well children''s activities.

Norwalk's Marvin School Dedicates Field In Honor Of Beloved Student NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk's Marvin School held a ceremony Saturday to dedicate its softball field in honor of Isabella Icatar. Isabella played softball for the NAA Daisies in the spring of 2010, the only year she would play. She was diagnosed with brain cancer and died in September 2012, at the age of 9. "I didn't want Isabella to be forgotten," Isabella's dad, Roniel Icatar, told Daily Voice.
