Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Roof Ripped Off High School In Hudson Valley During Round Of Severe Storms The roof of a high school building in the Hudson Valley was peeled off during a round of severe storms. The incident happened in Orange County when the storms swept through late Monday afternoon, July 3. The building affected in the village of Chester was the old Chester High School on Maple Avenue, which is currently used for BOCES classes. Christmas Tree Shops Now Plans To Close All Its Stores Christmas Tree Shops plans on closing all of its remaining stores after earlier this year announcing the closure of nearly a dozen of its locations, according to a new report. The 53-year-old discount home-goods chain offers seasonal decor year-round, along with assorted gifts, kitchen items, and furniture. In May, the company announced it was closing 10 of its approximately 80 stores after filing for bankruptcy. Severe Thunderstorms Sweeping Through From West To East: Here's Latest Thunderstorms, some of which are severe, are moving through the region late Monday afternoon, June 3. Storm activity is expected to continue into about the middle of the evening. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old's Vehicle Slams Into Sign On Southern State Parkway In Hempstead Police are investigating a late-night single-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened just before midnight Saturday, July 1 on the westbound side of the Southern State Parkway near Exit 15 in Hempstead. Drunk Driver Crashes Car In Parking Lot At Greenport High School, Police Say A local man has been accused of driving while intoxicated after a crash at a Long Island high school. The man was operating a 2023 Genesis sedan in the parking lot of Greenport High School just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1 when he lost control of his vehicle, struck a metal barrier pole, and then a chain link fence, Southold Police said. William Lieblein, age 55, a resident of Greenport, as determined to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and held at Southold Town PD headquarters for arraignment.
