Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Storm activity first began in areas west of the Hudson River in the early afternoon on Friday, July 7. Most of the severe storms from the system are farther inland, especially north of Interstate 84. Serious Crash: 23-Year-Old Critically Injured At Bay Shore Intersection One person suffered critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 9:10 p.m. Thursday, July 6 in Bay Shore. Double-Fatal Crash: Fire Breaks Out After Tesla Crashes Into House In Region Two people are dead after a Tesla crashed off the road and into a house in the region, causing a fire to break out. New York State Police released information on Wednesday, July 5 surrounding the crash that happened late last week in Columbia County, near the border of northwestern Dutchess County. A days-long investigation determined that the 2022 Tesla Model X was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Route 9 in the town of Livingston and left the roadway at about 1 a.m. on Thursday, June 29. Fatal DWI Crash: 23-Year-Old Huntington Station Resident ID'd As Victim In West Hills A man has been accused of driving drunk after a fatal crash in a residential Long Island neighborhood. The crash happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 in West Hills. Shark Attack: July 4th Beachgoer Hospitalized After New Incident On Long Island A second shark attack has been reported in as many days on Long Island, with the latest incident coming on Tuesday afternoon, July 4. It happened around 1:50 p.m. on Independence Day in Suffolk County in the Village of Quogue (marked in red in the image above). According to Lt. Daniel Hartman of the Quogue Police Department, a beachgoer, identified as a 47-year-old man, was swimming in chest deep water at the Quogue Village Beach on Dune Road when he suffered lacerations to his right knee.
