Better Reads Book Club Meets At Kent Public Library
KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- The next meeting of the Better Reads Book Club will be held on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Kent Public Library in Kent Lakes. Ossining Student Yasir Khan Is Semifinalist In Siemens Science Competition
OSSINING, N.Y. -- Yasir Khan, a senior at Ossining High School, was recently selected as a semifinalist in the 2015 Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.Yasir was one of 466 semifinalists recognized on October 16 for exceptional research. The Siemens Foundation received more than 1,700 submissions for the competition. BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport is the temporary home for Rochan, a 16-month-old male red panda. Darien Lands Open Space Grant To Preserve Overlook At Stony Brook
DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien has been awarded a $137,500 open space grant in order to preserve 1.245 acres overlooking Stony Brook, State Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, Sen. Carlo Leone and Rep. William Tong announced.
