Loretta Lynn Performs At Tarrytown Music Hall
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Loretta Lynn, "The Cole Miner's Daughter," performed at the Tarrytown Music Hall on Sunday.Lynn's music has confronted many of the major social issues of her time, and her life story is a rags-to-riches tale familiar to pop, rock and country fans alike. The country music legend was inducted into the national Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York in 2008 and won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.

Stratford Library Sets Up Charlie And the Chocolate Factory Fundraiser
STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Library will hold a special Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Bookfair fundraiser at Barnes & Noble of Milford on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m.A percentage of purchases made that evening will directly benefit the library’s summer reading program. The fundraiser will kick off with children’s activities and an art display; it will also include crafts, a scavenger hunt, games and a special chocolate café menu. FORT LEE, N.J. -- The Fort Lee Rotary Club will have a "Holiday Season Dinner" fundraiser from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at the Fort Lee Community Center. Tickets are $50 per person for dinner provided by Outback Steakhouse of Edgewater. The evening will include a deejay, wine, beer, soda, gifts, prizes and a diamond giveaway. Route 6 Stop Leads To DWI, Drug Charges
MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 52-year-old Michael J. Gaunt, of Mahopac, on Sunday for driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers were dispatched to assist Somers Police Department with a traffic stop on Route 6. Following an investigation by the arresting officer, it was determined that Gaunt was intoxicated at the time of the stop. He was also charged with unlawfully possessing marijuana and oxycodone.
