Greenburgh Central Students Participate In Hour Of Code
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh Central students participated in the Hour of Coderecently, with hundreds of students trying their hand at computer programming in the worldwide movement that reached millions of students in more than 180 countries.More than 200 Woodlands Middle School students signed up to participate in their Educational Technology classes, and students at RJ Bailey and Highview elementary schools also participated. MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- An imaginative display of artwork created by Mahopac Middle School students is currently on view in the Young Arts Gallery at Mahopac Public Library. Brightly colorful pop art paintings, textural animal collages, and cave art drawings are featured in this show of sixth, seventh and eighth-grade artwork. Medical Staff Of Putnam Hospital Center Spreads Cheer To Area Charities
CARMEL, N.Y. -- Christmas came early for three Putnam organizations helping the needy. The medical staff of Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel donated $3,000 to two food pantries and a shelter.Each recipient received $1,000 and included the Philipstown Food Pantry, the Patterson Food Pantry and the Brewster Emergency Shelter Partnership, a coalition of congregations that provides a place to sleep for those in need during the winter.
