Westwood Students Feel Gravity In Hands-On Learning Activity PASCACK VALLEY, N.J. -- George School students in Rebecca Duda’s science class learned about gravity and air resistance through a hands-on learning, STEM-like science lab. Working in groups of four, students selected the materials they wanted to use to create a parachute to support a LEGO man being dropped. The students worked collaboratively and shared ideas as they designed and then built a parachute they felt would slow down the LEGO man when dropped from roughly a 10-foot height.  The students then tested their parachutes and recorded the time it took for the LEGO man to hit the ground…

Commemorative t-shirts will be on sale at the game.
