Irvington's Patrick DiBenedetto Named Coach Of The Year
IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Patrick DiBenedetto, an art teacher and the head coach for girls soccer in the fall and girls lacrosse in the spring, has been named Coach of the Year by The Journal News.In his first year as the head coach for the girls soccer team at Irvington High School, DiBenedetto led the team from 9-7 the previous year to an almost perfect season. The team was undefeated in the regular season, 8-0, and won its first league title in more than 15 years. Bronxville Students Build Gingerbread Houses For Habitat for Humanity
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville Elementary School students got a taste for community service when they built "homes" during the third annual Gingerbread House Making fundraiser on Monday, Dec. 14. WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe announced Wednesday that he has accepted the resignation of Planning and Zoning Director Larry Bradley. This French tradition of serving a frangipane-filled tart known as the 'galette des rois' dates back to the 14th century.
