17-Year-Old Helped Set Pallets Ablaze Sparking Jones Road Wildfire: Prosecutor
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the massive wildfire that burned through Ocean County last week, authorities announced.
The teen, whose name was not released because of his age, was taken into custody on Wednesday, May 1, and charged with aggravated arson, arson, and hindering apprehension, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said on Friday, May 2.
Joseph Kling, 19, of Waretown, was previously arrested and charged with aggravated arson and arson for setting wooden pallets on fire and leaving before it was out, Billhimer said.

Two drivers were hospitalized following a rush hour crash that brought traffic to a standstill in Glen Rock.
The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of Glen Avenue and Maple Avenue on Thursday, May 1, during evening rush hour, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals in separate Glen Rock EMS ambulances, Loving said.

Two men have been arrested and charged after breaking into an occupied home in Somerset County officials said.
Jeremy Proleon-Carmen, 20, of Paterson, and Julio L. Ponce-Giannotti, 44, of Clifton, were taken into custody shortly after the burglary on Wednesday, April 30 in Warren Township, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said.
Police were called around 10:07 a.m. for a burglary in progress on Briarwood Drive East, Warren Township, McDonald said. A caller reported that a man was entering the home through a basement window and also gave police a description of a getaway car.
