Bridgeport To Wind Up Black History Month With Breakdancing
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- "A Hip Hop Expression of Black History" to recognize the role African Americans have played in history is Saturday, March 4 at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center.
This event, organized by My Brother’s Keeper, includes a Black historic art exhibit, a panel discussion on hip-hop and youth violence, and award presentation.
Activities include a DJ contest, break dancing and poetry.
Special invitations will be extended to founders of hip-hop including Kool Herc, Red Alert, and various artists.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Eight high schools in Fairfield County are among the Top 10 in the state, according to the latest school rankings report from Niche.com.
In its "2017 Best Public High Schools Report," Niche.com used a variety of factors, including SAT/ACT scores, student-teacher ratio, the quality of colleges that students consider and reviews from students and parents for its rankings.
