Norwalk Knights Of Columbus Serves Up St. Patrick's Dinner For A Good Cause
NORWALK, Conn. -- A St. Patrick's Day dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus St. Matthew Council 14360 packed the Masterpool Great Room at the parish in Norwalk, drawing 180 guests and raised money for local charities that help veterans, pregnant women, kids and more worthy causes. DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury High School senior Anna Strosser sees the world through her poetry, and was recently recognized with a silver medal in a national contest.Strosser's "Nose Dive" won in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. The competition received 330,000 submissions from students across the country in 29 categories. Strosser's award will be given at a ceremony in June at famed Carnegie Hall in New York City. DARIEN, Conn. -- A golf scramble June 5 in Greenwich will help pay for special needs programming for kids and teens at the Darien YMCA. The Darien Y is the largest provider of special needs programs in the Darien community, with an annual participation rate of over 600 people. There are classes in cooking, art, fitness, yoga, and martial arts and aquatics programs. There is even a girls club for kids, teens and young adults.
