Friendly's Closes 23 Restaurants, Including In New York, Connecticut Friendly's is closing 23 more of its restaurants in the Northeast, including in New York and Connecticut. The closures will occur when the leases are up of the affected restaurants. Tractor-Trailer Car Carrier, Vehicles On Board Becoming Fully Engulfed In Flames On I-95 Fire officials are investigating after a tractor-trailer car carrier became fully engulfed in flames on northbound Interstate 95 in Norwalk. 37-Foot Humpback Whale Found Dead On Beach In Hamptons There's an outpouring of sadness over news that a dead 37-foot female humpback whale washed up on a beach in the Hamptons. The whale was found on Cupsogue Beach County Park in Westhampton Beach, the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society in Hampton Bays announced on Sunday, May 5.
