Phyllis Luanne Nyman, 63, Of Rochelle Park ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. -- Phyllis Luanne Nyman, of Rochelle Park, died Nov. 11. She was 63. Nyman worked as nurse's aide for more than 15 years. She was predeceased by her father, John Martello.  Surivors are her mother, Lucy Marro; siblings, Frances Houlday (Chris), Janis Martello, Louise Vittorio (Joseph), Teresa Martello and MaryAnn Martello. Private services were conducted at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi.

Darien Man Accused Of Trying To Abduct Former Girlfriend In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. -- A man from Darien was detained on $250,000 bond on charges of attempting to abduct his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday in Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post. The woman's vehicle was reportedly set afire by 29-year-old Pedro Oristanio when the attempted abduction was a failure, Capt. Frank Eannotti told the Connecticut Post. Oristanio was arrested later in New Canaan and charged with second-degree arson, attempted kidnapping, unlawful restraint, criminal mischief and threatening, the Connecticut Post said.
