Man Charged With Felony Drug Possession Following Wappinger Stop WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- A Newburgh man faces drug possession charges after a routine traffic stop on Route 9 in Wappinger, according to New York State Police. Marise J. Hamilton, 27, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 16 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, among charges, according to a Troop K barracks police report. 26 Graduate From Jobs Waiting Program In White Plains WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A jobs program for unemployed workers in Westchester County recently honored 26 graduates. They are students in Jobs Waiting, a federally-funded regional job training program in the Hudson Valley. Certificates of achievement were presented at a recent ceremony in White Plains, which Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-Harrison) and major employers attended.  The unemployed students comprise the eighth class to complete the Jobs Waiting Program. .
