The volunteers assist Opening Doors of Fairfield conduct a statewide count of unstably housed and homeless youth ages 13 to 24. Ex-Teller Charged With Stealing $80K From Customers At Brookfield Bank BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- A former teller at Savings Bank of Danbury in Brookfield is accused of stealing nearly $80,000 from customer accounts when she worked at the bank, according to the News-Times.Metita Demiri, a Bethel resident, was charged with first-degree larceny and more than 12 counts of identity theft, said the News-Times. Mery Acosta, who would now be 22, has not been seen since June 6, 2011, when she was still a teenager, according to police. She is described as white, with brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds, police said.
